Brewake

Brewake · macOS menu bar utility

Keep your Mac awake from the menu bar.

A cup in your menu bar. Click it, pick how long, and your Mac stays awake.

7-day free trial, then $2.99, paid once. macOS 13 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel.

One cup.
Stay awake.

Brewake is a menu bar app. While it is on, your Mac does not go to sleep and the display does not dim. The cup fills up, so you can see that it is on.

Click the cup to pick how long. When the timer ends, Brewake turns itself off.

The older apps that did this job have drifted and grown. I keep Brewake very simple. It does the basics, and it does them well.

What it does.

Keeps your Mac awake

While Brewake is on, your Mac does not go to sleep and the display does not dim.

One menu

Click the cup in the menu bar and the menu opens. You turn Brewake on and off there.

Pick how long

Choose ∞ to stay awake until you turn it off, or 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 30 or 45 minutes, or 1 to 8 hours.

Turns itself off

When a timer ends, Brewake turns itself off.

A full cup means on

The cup is full while Brewake is on, and empty while it is off. A look at the menu bar tells you.

No account

No account, no analytics, no tracking. Brewake goes online only to check a license key and, once a day, to look for a newer version.
